KADESH CHRIST’S CHURCH FAITH STATEMENT

1. BIBLE – We believe that the Holy Bible which contains the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments is the inspired Word of God. It is inerrant and is the final authority in all matters of faith and conducts. 2Tim. 3:16-17; 2Pet. 1:16

2. GOD – We believe in One God in the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the sovereignty of God in Creation, Providence, Revelation, Redemption and Final judgment. Deut. 6:4; Mar. 12:29; Mat. 3:16-17; Mat. 28:19

3. JESUS CHRIST – We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, True God and True Man, in His redemptive death on the cross, His burial, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the Father’s right hand and His glorious return to judge the living and the dead. Mat. 16:16; Col. 1:19, 2:9; Lk. 1:30-35;Acts 1:11; Jn. 14:1

4. MAN – We believe that man, created in the image of God has fallen into sin and is therefore guilty, subject to the wrath and condemnation of God. Gen. 1:26-27, 3:1-6; Rom. 5:12

5. SALVATION – We believe that man could be delivered from the guilt, power, and penalty of sin through the redemptive work of the sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ our Lord who died on the cross as man’s perfect substitute. Hence we believe that the sinner shall be saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ alone. Isa. 53:4-5; Rom. 3:23, 6:23

6. HOLY SPIRIT – We believe that the Holy Spirit works in the life of the repentant sinner granting conviction of sin and creating him as new as a result of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the dwelling of the Holy Spirit and active today in the life of believers to empower for worship, evangelism, and service.for the extension of God’s kingdom and for the edification of the church. Jn. 3;3-5; Rom. 8:15; Acts 2:4; Eph. 5:18; Rom. 12:8; 1Cor. 12:8; Eph. 4:11

7. CHURCH – We believe in the one Holy Church which is the Body of Christ and to which all believers belong. Mat. 16:18; 1Cor. 12:12

8. CHURCH ORDINANCES –

   1. Water Baptism: We believe that the repentant sinners who profess faith in Jesus Christ shall identify with the death and resurrection of Christ through water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Mt. 28:19; Rom. 6:1-6

   2. Lord’s Supper: We also believe that the believer partakes of the Lord’s Supper to declare the Lord’s death till He comes and to show His fellowship with other believers in the Body of Christ. Mt. 26:26; 1Cor. 10:16, 11:24-25

9. FINAL JUDGMENT – We believe in the resurrection of the dead, for the final judgment of the wicked to everlasting punishment, but eternal life to the saved. Rev. 20:15; Mt. 25:46.
